THE ABC OF HAPPINESS

The description above taken from the dictionary describes the way our lives and our Happiness should be.

In these modern times with overloaded stress, long work days and less time to ourselves it can be hard to feel anything but tired all the time and mentally depleted.

Anxiety, tension, stress, depression are everywhere and it seems like life isn’t slowing down any time soon.

More and more doctors and psychiatrists are prescribing medication to stick a band aid onto a giant cut.

(We have absolute respect for doctors, but medications are being handed out to readily).

Profits for the big companies while normal people are walking around in a zombie state feeling numb and disconnected.

But thats not the way it should be. We can feel and be happy, fulfilled and alive, every day. Sure bad things happen in life that will sour us for periods but we can rebound and feel good again.

Joyous and alive

This is how we want you to be and we will do everything we can to help you live a happy life.

We consider on our site that happiness is related to your mind and your awareness of your thoughts. Also your connection to the world and other people. There is nothing more beautiful than a Natural Unforced smile. This comes from a genuinely happy person.

Unfortunately money cant buy happiness. Its handy for providing food, shelter and even high tech gadgets. But it wont fill your heart with joy.

It is not possible for everyone to become buddhist monks and live it tibet as most of us live in highly populated areas with extremely busy schedules.

But it is possible to live a life filled with joy, laughter and happiness wherever you are.

We will try to help by guiding you with information so that your happiness life choices are simple and clear.

That is why we have a system called “The ABC of Happiness”, which you can revert to whenever you loose track or feel confused about what will bring you back to you and your inner smile.

In all of the following ways to regain your inner joy, assume that they are up to 20 minutes max. No need to do anymore unless you want to.

The ABC of Happiness

Guidelines:-

Whenever you feel that your happiness is slipping away, come back to this page and follow the letters, always starting at the letter (A). Then move on to the next letter. Do not underestimate the power of all these simple steps.

A) BREATHING – Focus on 10 breaths and nothing else

B) THE PRAYER POSITION BREATHS – Sit in a prayer position – Focus on 20 breaths (See image below)

C) RUB and MASSAGE YOUR HANDS  – 1 minute

D) FEEL SOMETHING WITH YOUR HANDS – A tree, a toy, a book. Anything, just focus on it.

E) LOOK INTO YOUR EYES – Only focus on your eyes and nothing else for 10 easy breaths.

F) TAKE A STROLL – On your walk really look at the world. Try and notice something new

G) MEDITATE – 10 Minutes. Relax. Close your eyes. See your thoughts and let them roll by like clouds in the sky. Try not to get involved with them. Just recognise they exist.

H) POWER NAP – 15 minutes max. Mix up where you do this. In the garden, car, couch.

I) DO SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE ELSE – Wanting nothing in return. Do something nice. Keep it very simple and small.

J) SMILE AT 10 STRANGERS TODAY – It might feel strange at first, but see it through.

K) TAI CHI – 20 minutes. Even if you don’t know the moves just fake it. Move slow and breath. Its about the focus and connection to your body and your surroundings.

L) GIVE MORE THAN YOU TAKE – This is not financial. It is just about giving to others. Your words, your kind thoughts, your help and understanding. It is about them not you.

M) GROW SOMETHING – Vegetables or flowers

By following the steps above always starting at A) you will notice you regain your happiness glow. It happens very quickly if you don’t stray from the guide. Don’t move on to the next letter until you feel ready. There is no rush. Take your time. It will pay you back over your life.

In the simplest terms – Short amounts of regular short focused mind and feeling exercises is what is the BEST FOR YOUR HAPPINESS. You are connected with you and everyone and there is great joy in genuinely feeling that.
